Investigating the escape of a frozen Bigfoot from a tacky carnival, players chart a course across a map populated by bizarre roadside tourist traps.

Behind The Scenes

Streamlining the Interface Loop

Sam & Max radically changed standard adventure mechanics by ditching the heavy text "verb bar" at the bottom of the display. Instead, it introduced a clean, screen-clearing icon cycling system via right mouse clicks, giving maximum screen real estate over to the high-fidelity artwork.

Iconic Anti-Hero Chemistry

The absolute cornerstone of the game was its sharp, dark, satirical script. The hilarious, fast-paced dialogue banter between the deadpan, rule-following dog and the violent, unhinged cartoon rabbit provided a brilliant parody of 90s American pop culture and commercial tourism.
