Overview

Set in 1939, on the eve of World War II, Indiana Jones is approached by his former colleague (and former flame) Sophia Hapgood. Nazi agents are scouring the globe looking for Orichalcum, a mythical metal that powered the lost city of Atlantis, hoping to harness it for a terrifying new weapon.

Players embark on a globe-trotting point-and-click adventure spanning the streets of New York, the icy caves of Iceland, the jungles of Tikal, and eventually the deep ocean. You must solve complex inventory puzzles, decipher the cryptic Lost Dialogue of Plato, and outsmart the Third Reich to reach Atlantis before they do.

Behind The Scenes

The Best Unmade Movie
Frustrated by standard movie tie-in games that loosely adapted film plots, Hal Barwood penned a completely original script for Fate of Atlantis that fans widely consider superior to the fourth Indy film. It perfectly captured the humor, pacing, and pulp-adventure tone of the cinematic universe.

Three Paths to Victory
The game's most legendary innovation is its branching middle act. Players are asked to choose how they want to proceed: the Wits Path (difficult logic puzzles), the Fists Path (arcade action and combat), or the Team Path (cooperative puzzles using both Indy and Sophia). It gave the game incredible, unprecedented replay value.
